In 1974, our president, Douglas J. Brainard, CLU, ChFC, entered the financial services field in Spring Hill, Florida. For over two decades as an agency leader, he built a sizeable financial services firm, Doug Brainard & Associates, Inc. with associates through out the State of Florida. His belief that his first priority is to serve the public and that his client’s needs should always come first in the business relationship has served both the community and him well.

In 1989, Doug earned his CLU and ChFC designations. The CLU is the undisputed professional credential for persons involved in the protection, accumulation, preservation, and distribution of the economic values of human life. Furthermore, the ChFC program focuses on the comprehensive financial planning process as an organized way to collect and analyze information on a client’s total financial situation, to help identify and establish specific financial goals; and to formulate, implement, and monitor a comprehensive plan to help achieve those goals.

A graduate of University of Florida, Doug taught biology in the Florida public school system for 10 years. He still spends a great deal of time serving on school advisory councils in Hernando County and volunteering in the science fair program. Since 1974, Doug has resided in Spring Hill, Florida with his wife Lynn, also a retired educator.
